The battery was very easy to install -- the instructions were helpful in this regard. I had been primarily using my laptop plugged into a power source with the battery installed in the device, which the product information did not recommend, so I am charging it fully and letting it fully discharge before plugging in. I have been somewhat surprised that the device doesn't keep a charge longer than a day -- I usually put it to sleep when not actively using it. That may be what it would've done with the original battery, but I don't know since that was not my practice. In general, I am quite happy with it.
